The Agropalma Group is awarded with certificates and recognized for the quality of its operations and working conditions.
The companies - members of the Agropalma Group -continually work to improvethe quality of its operations,including the responsibility about working conditions, life and the environment in which employees are included. This work is recognized through all certificates granted over the years:
December/2002 : issuance of certifications ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Those testify good practices regarding products quality, environment protection, workers health and safety throughout the whole productive process. It also states that the Group has a constantly improved Integrated Management System (IMS).
August/2009 : the IMS was reinforced by the ISO 22000 certification
July/2013 : FSSC 22000 certificate, which refers to food safety issues. In this case, the certified units were the refinery, the fats plant and the commercial office, located in São Paulo.
Periodic maintenance audits are carried out by international accrediting organizations.
Organic agriculture, also known as organic farmingisa production system, whose main objectives are to preserve the environment, the cycles, biological activityof the soil and biodiversity.Organic food and other vegetable products are produced with no chemical additives and plant growth regulators orsynthetic feed additives.By applying the knowledge of ecology, organic agriculture is considered an integrated body with the fauna and flora.
Such procedure ensured Agropalma the Organic Seal in January 2000 for 4.107 hectare of palm cultivation within the CPA farm. This is certified by Certifications - IBD, organization accredited by the IFOAM - International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements, which regulates organic farming throughout the world. As the organic market grows, some countries began establishing specific legislation to regulate the organic production and certification. The company is currently certified to attend markets in Brazil, USA, Switzerland, Europe (EU) and Japan.
May/2011: The CIA REFINADORA DA AMAZÔNIA – CRA – AGROPALMA PORT was certified by CONPORTOS (the Brazilian Ports, Waterways and Coastal Security Commission – Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defense – Brazilian Navy, Ministry of Finance – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Transport).
This statement shows the implementation of the Harbor Safety Plan which complies with the provisions of chapter XI-2 and part A of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code - ISPS CODE, and demonstrates that the port facility is able to operate with liquid bulk carriers employed in international shipping.
Periodic maintenance audits are carried out every three years by CONPORTOS.
April/2008 : EcoSocial Seal for the organic products. The certificate ensures the quality of life improvement in the productive chain through socio-environmental programs. Moreover, the seal testifies that products are commercialized according to Fair Trade principles.
Maintenance audits are carried out yearly by IBD.
April/1998: Kosher certification ensures thatthe Group's products meet the requirements of the Jewish community. Kosher is the definition given to the food prepared in accordance with Jewish dietary laws. (known as Kashrut)
Periodic maintenance audits are carried out yearly by Rabbi M. A. Iliovits.
This certificate attests that production is carried out in accordance with the RSPO Principles and Criteria, which include a commitment to transparency, environmental, social and economic dimensions of sustainability as well as a commitment to continuous improvement. First RSPO certification audit was carried out in March/11. In August 2019 company has received the last RSPO audit when the last 3 uncertified FFB suppliers were accessed and considered in compliance with the standard. So now, 100% of Agropalma schemed family farmers or integrated outgrowers are RSPO certified.
